CHAPTER 02 · THE NERVOUS SYSTEM

How your body sends messages

01The central nervous system

Your nervous system carries information between your brain, spinal cord, and the rest of your body. The brain and spinal cord together form the central nervous system.

02The role of neurons

Neurons are the cells that carry these signals. They help you sense, think, and respond.

Explain it simply
EXAMPLE TUTOR RESPONSE

Think of a relay team passing a message. Each neuron receives a signal and passes it on, so different parts of your body can communicate.

How it works

From your materials
to lessons and practice.

01

Upload your class materials

Add PDFs, photos of notes, recordings or text. Coursekin organises them into chapters and lessons.

02

Read with an AI tutor

Work through each lesson at your pace. Ask the AI tutor to explain a part you don’t understand.

03

Practise and test yourself

Answer practice questions with hints and feedback. Take a section, chapter or course test to see what to study again.

Only have an outline or past questions? You can start there, too.

Share a course.
Study with friends.

Invite friends with a link. Share a course, join a focus session or take a group test.

Your personal notes, AI tutor chats and reading progress stay private.

What to know
before you start.

What materials can I upload?

Add PDFs, text, photos of notes or audio recordings. Save slides as PDF first. You can add up to 12 files or notes at a time, up to 10 MB each, and choose up to 100 pages from a PDF. Supported formats: PDF, TXT, Markdown, JPG, PNG, WebP, MP3, M4A, MP4, WAV, WebM, OGG and FLAC.

Can I start with an outline or past questions?

Yes. Upload your outline or past questions and the AI tutor can build lessons around the topics. Check explanations against your class materials, as AI can make mistakes.

What happens after I upload?

Coursekin prepares your course with chapters and lessons. This takes a little time. You can leave the page and return to lessons as they become ready. You can still open your original materials.

How do practice and tests work?

Use practice for hints and feedback as you learn. Take a test on a section, chapter or whole course to check what you know. Tests include multiple-choice and written questions. Your results help you decide what to study again.

What can my study group see?

People in your space can see the courses and original files you choose to share, along with group-test results. Your personal notes, AI tutor chats and reading progress stay private.

Can I study on my phone?

Yes. Open Coursekin in your phone’s browser. Sign in to continue your courses and return to your saved tests and reading progress.
